THE MAIN HOUSE :

The home, (west/north-west exposure) was built in the early 1900’s and then restored by the present owner in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.

Ground floor:

The 102sqm (1100sqf) consists of a lovely kitchen, sweet dining room adjacent to the spacious pantry and half-bathroom (1.4sgm or 15sqf); going through a delightful Dutch door one alights into the large entrance and very vast ‘double’ sitting room that revolves around the 360-degree open fireplace. This elegant yet cozy sitting room is filled with light as one wall is composed of French Windows giving onto the veranda with a spectacular view of the valley below. Being perched on a hill 450m above sea level one sits in the living room or on the veranda and watches the fields and distant hills spread out before you watching the sunset all year round.

First floor:

The 98sqm (1055sqf) first floor is accessed via the large comfortable curving staircase. At the top there is a lovely Library/Sitting room (13sqm or 140sqf) with its own fireplace and windows overlooking the valley.

Opposite this is Guestroom 1 (11,4sqm or 122sqf) with its window overlooking the valley. Close to this, at the end of a short hallway is Guestroom 2 (11,4sqm or 122sqf) with a lovely window looking onto the fields belonging to the property.

This same hallway (4,6sqm or 50sqf) has a nice bathroom with walk in shower (2,8sqm or 30sqf) and a separate WC (2.8sqm or 30sqf). At the opposite end of Guestroom 2 is the Master Suite with small hallway and separate bathroom with bathtub (4,8sqm or 51sqf.) and an appealing bedroom (17,5sqm or 188sqf) with delightful views on both the valley and the grounds leading to the pool.

Part of the Main House but entered independently from the right side is the Cantina (24,8sqm or 270sqf) perfect for storage or for a lovely wine cellar; and next to it is the Boiler room (8sqm or 86sqf).

THE HEATING SYSTEM :

The diesel fuel heating system is a RIELLO and was installed in 1999. An expert technician, as prescribed by law, services the furnace annually.  The house can be quite warm with the main system however, one can also use the wood-burning stove to heat a good portion of the ground floor of the main house as the heat not only serves for the multiple cookers but it also radiates through out the floor.
